Lahore: Construction work on Gurumangat Underpass has been completed, and it will be inaugurated on Sunday, according to a new source. The underpass has been named Captain Mubeen Shaheed Underpass.
The underpass shall be inaugurated by the Pakistan Railway Federal Minister Khwaja Saad Rafique, and the preparations for it are complete.
Traffic signals have been installed to control and manage traffic flow on the underpass, making it the city’s first underpass with traffic signals. Here, traffic will pass to and from three sides; Gulberg to Cavalry, Cavalry to Gulberg, and Cavalry to Ghousia Colony.
The project has been completed at a cost of PKR 310 million in one year.
