Lahore: The federal government on Friday (September 18) launched the official website of Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib, according to news sources. Reportedly, this site is considered as one of the holiest places by Sikhs across the world.

Minister for Religious Affairs Pir Noorul Haq Qadri presided over the ceremony and addressed its attendees. He emphasized the government’s resolve to ensure promoting religious freedom in the country and added that establishing a Gurdwara or a temple (for the minorities) is not a threat to Pakistan’s ideology.

Also speaking at the occasion, Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Chairman Dr Aamir Ahmad said that the official website would act as a global gateway – enabling tourists and pilgrims from all over the world to be able to easily access the information they need about the Gurdwara. He further went on to say that copies of the book Historical Gurdwaras of Pakistan will also be distributed to various embassies and diplomats around the world.
