Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan inaugurated Gulistan-e-Hazar Khwani – the largest park in the city – which has been completed at a total cost of PKR 370 million, according to a news story published in the national dailies on May 18.

CM Khan, speaking at the occasion, stated that the park was a gift for the locals as it has enhanced the beauty of Peshawar. He added that a day will be dedicated to families per week so people can visit and enjoy the park. He also disclosed that the old parks in the city were being rehabilitated. During his visit, the chief minister also inaugurated the newly-constructed building of Shaikhabad Girls High School at a total cost of PKR 50 million.

Moreover, the minister informed that the PC-1 for the construction of the missing link of the ring road has been submitted for approval. To resolve the traffic woes in Peshawar City, the construction work is underway at full speed for a new general bus stand outside the city. Additionally, work on Peshawar Valley City and projects to supply clean drinking water from Jabba and Mohmand Dams are in progress.
