Gujranwala: The Water and Sanitation Authority (WASA) has prepared a comprehensive 25-year long master plan in a bid to replace the outdated sewerage and water supply lines of the city, a news source reported. To this effect, the authority is expected to table the draft before Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan for his approval.

The existing sewerage and water lines in the city are 30 years old and no longer efficient to do the required job. The new plan has been formed keeping view the rainfall levels the city receives and the current and expected population rise. A better sewerage system acts as the base to attend to other infrastructural development issues, the news story said.
