Gujranwala: The Punjab government has decided to construct a sports stadium on 10 acres of land in Gujranwala, a news source reported. The stadium will cost PKR 200 million.

The work on the stadium is expected to begin this year, and will be completed within two years. International-standard hockey and football stadiums will be constructed at the location, and athletic tracks will also be laid around the facility.
The stadium will be constructed on GT Road Gujranwala, Nigar Chowk. It will comprise an international-standard astroturf, and two pavilions. Shops will also be constructed around the stadium to run it sustainably.

The Division Sports Officer Saifullah said that the hockey and football stadiums will help to locate rising talent in both sports; allowing them to flourish.
