Lahore: An announcement was made by Punjab Chief Secretary Akbar Durrani regarding the setting up of a children’s hospital in Gujranwala, according to a news report. He emphasised that the latest medical facilities should be provided for the benefit of the general public.
This announcement was made at a meeting at Commissioner’s Office Gujranwala, over which he was presiding. Durrani stated that access to modern healthcare and medical facilities is a fundamental human right, and should be provided on high priority. He also announced the setting up of a dialysis centre with this hospital and assured that the best architects would be used. All relevant departments were directed to do their due.
