Gujranwala: Chief Police Officer (CPO) Gujranwala Dr Moeen Masood held an anti-crime meeting with police officials and directed them to launch a strict crackdown operation without any discrimination against land-grabbers, livestock thieves, extortionists, and any other people involved in organised criminal activities, according to a news report.

He also ordered the arrest of people in possession of unlicensed weapons and those who put them on display. The CPO was firm that all criminals and persons of interest are to be brought to justice. He said that all cases are to be investigated on merit and the challans are to be submitted to the court on time.

The meeting reviewed the status of crimes happening in the district, while the Superintendent of the Police Division brought the meeting up to speed of the current situation.
