Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Mir Jam Kamal Khan on Tuesday (August 10) laid the foundation stone marking the start of construction work at the 10-km long Southern Bypass in Hub, a news source reported.

The CM was on a one-day visit to Hub and Vinder area in the Lasbela district. Senator Dinesh Kumar, Provincial Advisor Haji Akbar Askani, and Provincial Minister Abdul Khaliq Hazara accompanied the CM.
During the visit, the chief minister was briefed on the construction of the bypass from Hub to RCD Road, at an estimated cost of PKR 331.563 million. The project is expected to be completed by 2023.
While addressing the attendees present at the ceremony, CM Kamal said that this project is crucial for the industries of Hub city. He added that the government was focusing on social and economic development to facilitate people.

Moreover, the CM talked about that the development of the Vinder Dam, which will provide water to 10,000 acres of land in the area. He went on to say that the project will boost economic and social development in the region.
