Attock: Advisor to Prime Minister (PM) on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam on Sunday performed the groundbreaking of a low-cost Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) project in the Hazro Town of Attock, a news source reported.

Following the ceremony, the low-cost NPHP project in Hazro Town has entered its implementation phase. The project consists of 400 kanals of land, featuring 658 plots. These include 90 10-marla plots, 64 7-marla plots, 189 5-marla plots, and 400 3-marla plots.
The NPHP project’s management will distribute these plots among people via a merit-based ballot. According to the details revealed, the colony will also have a park, walking track, and a commercial area with 38 shops.

Sources have revealed that the project is expected to be completed by December 2021, at a cost of over PKR 37 million. Speaking at the ceremony, Aslam said that the project was a step forward in fulfilling the commitment made to the public by the government. He added that the construction of 5 million houses for the country’s low-income segments was a difficult task to fulfil.
