With this revision, the authorities will manage to protect 26 tree plantations near the Radio Pakistan building situated on the MA Jinnah Road, in addition to transplanting 69 trees in a different location. The federal and provincial governments have reached a consensus on this plan, and will recommence with the work accordingly.
In line with this latest development, the Sindh Infrastructure Development Company Limited (SIDCL) has called for tenders to lay down Phase II of the Green Line BRT. This phase spans from Taj Medical Complex to Jama Cloth Market.

SIDCL Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Bilal Memon stated that the federal body has floated the relevant tenders to initiate this phase of the project. He added that the revised design will save all 95 trees on the BRT route, and that funds have already been allocated to move 69 additional tree plantations to be replanted in other locations. These trees include Indian lilacs, banyans, lignums, and sacred figs.
Moreover, the authorities concerned have recommended that this transplantation should be carried out in March, April, July and August.
