Hyderabad: The district administration will launch a grand operation to retrieve forest land from encroachers on March 11 – a news source reported.

Matiari Deputy Commissioner Pervez Ahmed Baloch gave orders for this operation on Thursday. The officials concerned hopes to retrieve at least 33,235 acres of forest land from illegal occupants.
It will be carried out in collaboration with the forest, revenue, and police departments. Police and anti-encroachment forces will carry out a flag march on Saturday to warn law breakers.

Forest Officer Sanaullah Buledi said that Matiari district has a forest cover measuring 70,275 acres. Of this, over 33,000 acres remain under illegal occupation.
