Multan: The Multan Development Authority (MDA) Enforcement Team has launched a grand anti-encroachment operation against the developers of illegal housing schemes, reported a news source. The MDA Urban Planning Department previously identified the housing schemes operating illegally within the city.

The enforcement team carried out the operation in Mouza Sajanpur, Mouza Bahadurpur, Bosan Road, and Mouza Lutfabad. The team razed boundary walls, road networks and sewerage systems in various illegally set up land subdivisions in these areas. Specifically, the projects targeted include Al-Rehman Garden, Tanveer Town Phase II, Ibrahim Garden, Gulberg Phase III, and several other illegal land subdivisions.

The MDA Special Judicial Magistrate supervised the operation, which was carried out with the help of the authority’s demolition staff, members of the Enforcement Cell, Urban Planning Department, the MDA Estate and Land Management Unit, and officers of the Punjab Police.

The MDA Enforcement Team also relieved commercial and residential plots in Shah Rukn-e-Alam Colony from illegal occupations.
