The premiere said that the SOPs for these businesses would be formulated with the assistance of the one million volunteers registered under the Corona Relief Tiger Force (CRTF); who will help the district administration in implementing these regulations on industries, marketplaces and mosques – in addition to keeping check on price hikes caused by hoarding and profiteering.

Khan made these remarks while addressing an assembled CRTF as well as a few cabinet members; further revealing that a formal announcement regarding the reopening of businesses would soon be forthcoming. He warned of implementing another lockdown in case of non-compliance of these SOPs for businesses, as it could potentially lead to a spike in the number of virus-afflicted patients.
Furthermore, he opined that the biggest challenge ‘of the hour’ was to create a balanced environment where people could both be saved from the coronavirus as well as allowed to pursue their normal economic activities.
