Islamabad: Adviser to Prime Minister on Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam on Thursday announced the government’s plans to establish 12 national parks across the country under the ‘protected area incentive’, according to news sources.

He further revealed that the ‘protected area incentive’ will be launched within two weeks by Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan. The adviser also said that the national park services will be made available in these parks and that the initiative will create job opportunities for thousands. He said that these protected areas will help revive wildlife in their natural habitat and will help with the biodiversity conservation in the unique ecosystem of Kala Chitta Mountain Range.

Additionally, the adviser said that the Green Stimulus Programme has also been introduced to create more job opportunities for the daily wagers. He added that the initiative will provide jobs to some 84,000 people and that the Ministry of Climate Change aims to provide employment to 600,000 people till next year.
