Islamabad: The government is planning to launch an online portal to facilitate the applicants and volunteers of the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme by enabling them to check their applications’ status directly by entering their Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) numbers, according to news sources.

An official revealed that PKR 115.68 billion had been distributed among 9,513,000 registered beneficiaries under the various categories of Ehsaas Emergency Cash Initiatives. The province-wise distributions under the programme are as follows:
Punjab: PKR 49.68 billion disbursed among 4,091,000 deserving families.
Sindh: PKR 35.20 billion disbursed among 2,915,000 deserving families.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: PKR 22.8 billion disbursed among 1,796,000 beneficiaries.
Balochistan: PKR 5.42 billion disbursed among 444,000 beneficiaries.

Azad Jammu & Kashmir: PKR 2 billion disbursed among 162,000 beneficiaries.
Gilgit-Baltistan: PKR 830 million disbursed among 830,000 beneficiaries.
The beneficiaries who have been facing problems in their biometric verifications can receive payments from the designated banks in their areas. All beneficiaries are supposed to receive confirmation messages of receiving their payments with bank name, personal address and date.
