Lahore: Punjab Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan has announced the construction of schools, colleges and hospitals on land retrieved from illegal occupants, reported a news source. The decision was taken during a meeting he chaired with higher officials from various districts of the province.
The attendees also discussed the court verdict of handing over 10-kanals of land retrieved in Gujranwala to Anjuman Taleem-e-Naswan. Minister Khan directed the Gujranwala Deputy Commissioner to share details on the land retrieved from illegal occupants by Monday.
The provincial minister for education, Gujranwala deputy commissioner, special secretaries for schools, and the municipality secretary attended the meeting.
Speaking at the occasion, the senior minister stated that he intends to fix civic issues in Gujranwala on a priority basis. He also instructed the officers concerned to identify 25- to 30-kanals of land for constructing a hospital. He vowed to provide better health and education facilities for the people of Gujranwala.
