Islamabad: The federal government has decided to launch the Ehsas Panagah project in 17 districts across the country before August 14, news sources reported. The government has estimated the cost of running each Panagha at PKR 40.60 million, of which the operational and running cost would be PKR 30.564 million and the remaining PKR 10.03 million would be fixed capital cost.

Moreover, the details of areas identified for the establishment of Panaghs in various districts of the provinces is as follows:
In Punjab; the places identified are Lahore, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rawalpindi and Bahawalpur. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Panaghas will be established in Peshawar, Swart Kohat, Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan. In Sindh, Panagahs will be established in Kemari and Landhi Areas of Karachi, Hyderabad and Gambit. While in Balochistan, Panaghas will be constructed in the District of Chaghi. In Northern Areas, the government has decided to build Panagh in Gilgit area of Gilgit-Baltistan.

In addition to this, the Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal will construct 4 Express Panagahs in Zhob, Kharan, Nushki and Washuk Area of Balochistan where travellers and homeless people will be able to eat, however, no night stay facility will be provided as of yet. It is important to note that there are presently 17 Panaghas in 17 districts across the country.
