Islamabad: The Planning, Development and Reform Minister Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar has said that the present government is taking measures for growth of local industries, so they could provide boost to the national economy, a news source reported. He was speaking to a delegation of the Constructors Association of Pakistan (CAP), headed by its Vice Chairman Shahid Rafique.
He further said that putting the country’s economy on a sustained growth trajectory is among the top priorities of the government. He noted that the construction sector is the second largest creator of employment opportunities in Pakistan the government is determined to resolve the issues of the local construction industry.
The minister said that the construction sector can play an important role in implementation of Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP). He stated that NPHP will create thousands of jobs, boost construction sector.
He also invited construction industry to coordinate with the Housing Task Force so that government’s vision could be materialised.
