Islamabad: Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal informed the National Assembly on September 9 that 101 PSDP projects are underway in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), according to a news source on September 10.

These projects, sponsored and executed by various federal ministries and departments, have a total estimated cost of PKR 947.5 billion. During the Question Hour, Minister Iqbal noted that PKR 304.8 billion has already been spent on these projects as of June 30, 2024. For the current fiscal year 2024-25, PKR 52.4 billion has been allocated to continue work on these projects.
In addition to these ongoing initiatives, Minister Iqbal highlighted that over the past two years, 20 projects in KP, worth PKR 17.9 billion, have been successfully completed by federal ministries and departments.

He also clarified that there is no specific provincial share, including for AJ&K and Gilgit-Baltistan, when it comes to federal investment in development projects. After the 18th Amendment, provinces now receive 58.5% of revenue, leaving the federal government with a 42.5% share.
