Peshawar: The federal government has announced its decision to register individuals interested in investing in the marble industry in addition to assisting them in marketing their products and providing annual allowances to them, a news source reported.

Moreover, the executive intends to separate the precious stones industry from the jewellery industry and will set up laboratories for testing and providing certifications. Other initiatives planned include tax breaks to the poultry industry, reopening of pink salt mines, reduction in fee for software companies, and establishing a joint forum with Afghanistan for medical tourism promotion.
For facilitating the poultry industry, the government plans to abolish import customs duties on feed and refund taxes on both its local production, bases, poultry and chicken exports and consumption. Further, special laboratories will be established to improve seed quality for fruits and vegetable productions.

Similarly, the Fisheries Department has been instructed to implement the ban on fishing in breeding season with immediate effect. The government has also directed the officials concerned to draft a uniform strategy for meat production.
