Islamabad: The government has provided a notification on the funds issued for its Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) during Financial Year 2019-20 (FY2019-20), a news source reported. To this effect, the executive has so far released PKR 522.22 billion for various new and ongoing uplift projects against a total allocation of PKR 701 billion.

It released PKR 229.15 billion for federal ministries, PKR 41.78 billion for special areas, and PKR 170.64 billion for corporations, and PKR 38.5 billion for security improvement out of the total allocated amount of PKR 53 billion during the FY2019-20.

The government also disbursed PKR 78.1 billion for blocks under finance division as per the government’s 10-year development programme. For the Higher Education Commission (HEC), the government released PKR 27.07 billion against the total allocation of PKR 29 billion. For the Pakistan Nuclear Energy, it released PKR 301.47 million against the total of PKR 301.48 million in the budget.

The National Highway Authority (NHA) received PKR 145.4 billion out of its total allocations worth PKR 154.54 billion. The government released PKR 10.7 billion for the Railways Division, PKR 7.7 billion for the Interior Division, and PKR 8.36 billion for the National Health Services Division.
