Islamabad: The Ministry of Planning on Thursday stated that the federal government had earmarked PKR 18 billion for 20 projects of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) initiative, a news source reported. As per the publication, the government has so far released up to PKR 12.13 billion for some of these projects under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2019-20.

The details of the projects and the funds assigned are listed below:
- PKR 2 billion released out of PKR 2.238 billion for the development of Karakorum Highway (KKK) phase-II Havelian-Thakot which is 118.057 miles long
- PKR 1.8 billion for the preliminary design of Mainline (ML-1) and development of a dry port near Havelian
- PKR 1 billion for the renovation of Chitral-Boonj-Mastuj-Shandur Road
- PKR 2.8 billion out of the total funds PKR 6.5 billion for the Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway
- PKR 1.2 billion released for acquiring the land and resettlement for the development of Islamabad-Raikot section (Phase-I) and Havelian-Thakot
- PKR 1.89 billion for the construction of road from Zhob to Kuchlak
- PKR 320 million out of PKR 400 million for the water desalination plant at Gwadar
- PKR 300 million for the expansion and strengthening the network of PERN footprints through the optic fiber (PERNIII)
- PKR 111.2 million out of PKR 164 million for the development of offices for CPEC and Intelligence Bureau (IB)
- PKR 600 million for the up-gradation of 3G/4G services and improved coverage in Gilgit Baltistan (GB) along KKH
- PKR 9.455 million for the development of CPEC Support Unit (CSU) and miscellaneous activities of Gwadar Port Authority
- PKR 50 million out of PKR 73.8 million for the establishment of Centre of Excellence for Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE)
- PKR 50 million for Ministry of Railways CPEC project
