Islamabad: The federal government on Wednesday shared details regarding the Balochistan’s road upgradation and expansion projects to be developed on priority during (Fiscal Year) FY2020-21, a news source reported. Official sources have revealed that the government is prioritising the upgradation and expansion work of the province’s nationalised road infrastructure.

According to the details available, the government aims to bring Balochistan at par with the developed areas of the country with these projects. In order to achieve this target of developing Balochistan’s road projects, the government has allocated significant funds in the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2020-21.
The road projects in the province that have received fund allocations under PSDP are as follows:
- Zhob to Kuchlak Road
- 106-km-long two-lane highway from Basima to Khuzdar
- Construction of black-top roads from Yakmach to Kharan via Dostain-Wadh-Khurmagai
- Qila Saifullah Loralai Waigum Rudd of N-70
- Zhob-Mughal Kot section of N-50
- Widening & strengthening of Rakhi Gajj-Bewata section of N-70
- Construction of Dera Murad Jamali Bypass
- Construction of Hoshab-Awaran Section of M-8
- Construction of Ziarat Mor-Kech-Harnai Road
- Construction of Harnai-Sanjavi Road

The government has also made allocations for the dualisation and improvement of the exiting section of N-50 from York to Zhob via Sago. This project will also include the construction of the Zhob Bypass.
