Islamabad: The federal government on Wednesday announced that it would soon be launching an online portal to connect the country’s policy makers with its prominent think tanks and academic circles, a news source reported. According to the details revealed, the aim of the portal is to bridge the gap between all stakeholders involved in Pakistan’s higher-level decision-making processes.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on National Security Dr Moeed Yusuf revealed this information during a meeting of the Advisory Board of the National Security Committee (NSC). The SAPM stated that the online portal for policy makers would connect academia and think tanks with the government. He added that it would help them play a positive role in the decision-making processes of Pakistan. He explained that this online portal would be the first of its kind in the region — with the initiative a testament to the incumbent government’s commitment towards inclusive policymaking.
