Lahore: The Government of Pakistan will be looking to collect donations from business leaders and philanthropists to initiate development projects in the country, a news source reported.
As part of the first few developmental projects of the government, the Punjab Government has begun work on shelter homes in Lahore. This is a follow-up on the Prime Minister’s orders and is aimed at facilitating the homeless and poor travelling to the city in search of jobs. Financial resources for this project will come from local business leaders, trade associations, and philanthropists.

In a similar manner, Punjab Governor Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar is partnering with NGOs to develop water filtration plants in low-income areas and district jails.
