Islamabad: The federal government has released a sum of PKR 536.6 billion for various uplift projects out of total allocations worth PKR 675 billion under its Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), a news source reported.

According to the Ministry of Planning and Development, the amount sanctioned includes funds worth PKR 21.06 billion for federal ministries, PKR 219.757 billion for corporations, and PKR 37.60 billion for special areas.
A sum of PKR 1.039 billion against a total budgeted allocation of PKR 3.65 billion has been released for the Aviation Division. The planning ministry also released PKR 23.22 billion out of a proposed figure of PKR 28.065 billion for Pakistan Railways.

An amount of PKR 53.9 billion out of the budgeted PKR 78 billion has been released for various development projects and schemes of the Water Resources Division. The ministry also released PKR 10.921 billion out of PKR 33.6 billion for the National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) and Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO).
