Islamabad: The federal government has released 27% of the total amount allocated for different development projects under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP). It has released PKR 182 billion against the total budgeted allocation of PKR 675 billion.
According to the planning ministry, the government released PKR 71 billion – including PKR 6 billion foreign aid for development projects of various ministries, divisions and related departments – out of a total allocation of PKR 291.55 billion.
PKR 81.26 billion – including PKR 43.5 billion foreign aid – out of the PKR 185.2 billion budgeted allocation has been released for various development projects of the National Highway Authority (NHA), while PKR 8.1 billion out of PKR 28.065 billion budgeted allocation has been disbursed for development projects of Pakistan Railways. The government has also released PKR 11.75 billion – including PKR 4.7 billion foreign aid – out of PKR 78 billion for development projects and schemes of Water Resources Division.
The government released PKR 1.4 billion out of PKR 12.78 billion budgeted allocation for development projects of the National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination Division; PKR 1.79 billion for Planning, Development and Reforms, and PKR 7.2 million for Textile Industry Division.
A total of PKR 11.81 billon – including PKR 60.72 million foreign aid – out of PKR 30.96 billion budgeted allocation has been released for Higher Education Commission; PKR 4.3 billion for the Interior Division, PKR 2.78 billion for Communication Division (other than NHA), and PKR 280.4 million for Federal Education and Professional Training Division.
The centre disbursed PKR 201.4 million for the Cabinet Division against the total budgeted allocation of PKR 1 billion. The Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission received PKR 10.18 billion out of PKR 26.7 billion budgeted allocation for development projects. An amount of PKR 443.5 million has been released for the Aviation Division; PKR 465.34 million for Climate Change, PKR 546 million for Defence Production Division, PKR 659.3 for development projects of Maritime Affairs Division and PKR 449.73 million have been released for Revenue Division.
The government released PKR 714.5 million – including PKR 344.51 million foreign aid – for Information Technology and Telecom Division, out of PKR 1.45 billion budgeted allocation; PKR 11 billion – including PKR 718.67 million foreign aid – for State and Frontier Region Division, PKR 8.7 billion – including PKR 8.61 billion foreign aid – out of PKR 33.37 billion for development projects of Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO), and PKR 878.8 million for development projects of Housing and Works Division.
It has also released PKR 10.77 billion – including PKR 2 billion foreign aid – for development projects of Azad Jammu and Kashmir against total budgeted allocation of PKR 25.86 billion and PKR 7.84 billion – including PKR 398.7 million foreign aid – for development projects of Gilgit-Baltistan out of PKR 17.53 billion budgeted allocation for the current fiscal year.
