Mansehra: The people of Harnaqa and its surrounding areas have demanded the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government to reconstruct different areas of the Chattarplain-Kuzabanda Road, according to news published on January 7.

As per the details, the Chattarplain-Kuzabanda Road has been in a dilapidated condition because of the rains and flash floods. A local activist revealed that it is one of the main arteries, which connects Chattarplain to the Battagram district from the Karakoram Highway. The said road was damaged in 2005 after the devastating earthquake; now, the floods and rains have caused the road to erode.

The locals have requested the provincial government to build protective walls and reconstruct the damaged portions of the road. The local activist went on to say that this 16-kilometre road has become highly dangerous in the district as accidents have increased manifold. Moreover, due to the snowfall, the road has become more dangerous and people demand reconstruction of the Chattarplain-Kuzabanda Road as soon as possible.
