Lahore: The Punjab government has proposed to allocate an accumulative fund of PKR 13.76 billion for wildlife, fisheries, and forestry sectors for the fiscal year (FY) 2022-23, according to a news story published on June 16.

According to the details, PKR 7.17 billion will be reserved for the non-development sector while PKR 6.59 billion for the development sector. It was informed that PKR 1,100 million development budget is proposed for the fisheries sector, out of which PKR 1,006 million will be reserved for 11 ongoing projects while PKR 93.321 million for 3 new projects.
Moreover, PKR 990 million is proposed for projects in the wildlife sector; PKR 740 million for 7 ongoing projects while PKR 249 million for 7 new schemes. PKR 4.5 billion has been reserved for 27 projects under the forestry department; PKR 3.787 billion will be earmarked for ongoing projects while PKR 712 million will be allocated for 10 new projects.
