Karachi: Minister for Housing and Works Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada informed the Upper House of Parliament that the government is exploring options to expedite the completion of the Sukkur-Karachi Motorway, as reported on June 10.

As per news details, Mian Riaz Pirzada highlighted the urgent need for enhanced connectivity in the populous and agriculturally rich regions of Sindh. Furthermore, Mian Riaz Pirzada attributed the delay to economic challenges exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, leading the contractor to halt work. He outlined the government’s strategy to expedite the project, including exploring opportunities under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and engaging in public-private partnerships with friendly nations like the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
