Islamabad: The government has announced its decision to issue a subsidy card facility for the youth of the country, according to news sources. According to details, the ‘Youth Empowerment Card’, as this initiative is to be named, aims to ensure the provision of civic services at subsidised rates to the youth.

An official of the Prime Minister’s Youth Affairs Programme (PMYAP) said that the officials concerned had collaborated with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) to facilitate the launch of this scheme.

This card will grant a subsidy to the youngsters on travel, passport charges and computerised national identity card. Further, the official said, a sum of RKR 4,000 to 5,000 will also be provided under this card.
NADRA will collect the data of the youth across the country for issuance of these subsidy cards.
