Lahore: The federal government has announced its decision to launch a skill development training programme for the country’s youth, a news source reported. Federal Minister for Communications & Postal Services Murad Saeed stated that the incumbent government believed in good governance and merit-based recruitment. He added that they would provide job opportunities and professional skill development training to 45,000 youth in the country.

Inaugurating the Havalian-Mansehra Section of Hazara Motorway in Abbottabad, he stated that 45,000 young individuals would receive employment and internship opportunities under the Prime Minister (PM)’s Youth Skills Development Programme.
Saeed revealed that executive would introduce vocational training initiatives for the youth in order to appoint them on merit to the National Highway Authority (NHA), Ministry of Communication, and other relevant institutes.

Further, he highlighted the government’s ongoing welfare programmes – including the Kamyab Jawaan Programme, Ehsaas Programme, Ehsas Langar, shelter homes, and Sehat Insaf Card. He added that these initiatives were providing relief to the society’s low-income groups.
