Islamabad: The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) and the Ministry of Housing & Works have invited sealed proposals for the ‘designing, procurement and details’-related work geared for the construction and supervision of a number of infrastructural developments, as well as the materialisation of multi-storey apartment units, at Rawlakot and Sudhanoti in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K), according to a July 17 report published in a major newspaper.

The engineering consultancy firms, of national and international repute, are invited to submit their proposals. The eligible firms must possess a valid Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) certification and a valid income and sales tax registration with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
The interested firms may purchase the RFP documents from the office of Deputy Project Director FGEHA for a non-refundable sum of PKR 2,000 until August 5.

The bidding firms will be ‘post qualified’ based on provided information and the firms that fail to qualify in this aspect shall not be considered further.
A pre-bid meeting at the committee room of FGEHA will be held at 11 am on July 24. The bidding procedure of single-stage-two-envelope will be adopted. One envelope with technical information marked as ‘Technical Bid’ and the second envelope with the bid price marked as ‘Financial Proposal’ should be submitted.
Moreover, the Financial Proposal envelope must be attached with minimum 1% of the bid amount – as security in the form of ‘deposit at call’ in FGEHA’s favour – and an undertaking is required within the ‘Technical Bid’ envelope.
