Islamabad: Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Industries and Production, Tasneem Ahmed Qureshi, said on Monday (November 28) that the government is making efforts to promote industrialization in the country by facilitating ease of doing business, news sources reported.

SAPM Qureshi stated that the government is working on providing every facility and opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises to advertise their goods and services and restore investors’ trust. He emphasized that the success of small and medium-sized enterprises is inextricably linked to job prospects for the masses. The more industries thrive, the better the economy performs. He also noted that the government is implementing measures to boost the ease of doing business and foreign direct investment in the country.

It is worth noting that the government has formed the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA), which provides services to small enterprises such as feasibility studies, assessing local market potential, and offering low-interest loans for business expansion.
