Islamabad: The federal government is looking to include eight new infrastructure projects in the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) framework 2020-22, according to a news report published on July 21. The projects will be presented before the 10th meeting of the Joint Coordination Committee on CPEC later this year.

The projects to be included are:
- Greater Peshawar Mass Transit Project
- 82-kilometre Swat Expressway Phase-II
- Karachi Port Development Project
- 105-kilometre Thar-Chor Railway Line
- 22-kilometre Hub-Karachi Railway Line
- Keti Bandar Port Development Project
- 182-kilometre Karachi-Quetta-Chaman Motorway
- Optical Fibre Phase II

The infrastructure projects that have already been completed, approved or are being constructed under CPEC include:
- Sukkar-Multan (M-5) Motorway
- Sukkar-Hyderabad (M-6) Motorway
- Hakla-Dera Ismail Khan section
- Zhob-Dera Ismail Khan segment
- Zhob-Quetta section
- Orange Line Metro Train in Lahore
- Havelian-Thakot highway projects
