Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Wednesday revealed that his government is inspired by the Chinese economic model of progress, which is based on long-term policies and human development, according to news sources. He made these remarks while addressing a ceremony held at his office to disburse sales and income tax refund cheques to the prominent exporters of the country.
The PM associated the lack of economic progress in the past to the absence of clear, long-term policies. He stated that he had been inspired by the manner in which China’s long-term policies had contributed to the country’s success, and was determined to ensure that the national economy followed the same pattern.

PM Khan went on to state that for the first time in four years, the current account deficit was in a surplus, and that it was also encouraging that the country has rich gold and copper reserves as well. He opined that financial loans were a burden to the country’s dignity but they were necessary, and that the government was now promoting a tax culture and industrialisation so that they could gain financial independence.
