Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Monday (September 13) said that the government’s priority is to improve the Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) policy and further facilitate the investors, news sources reported.

PM Khan stated that foreign direct investment and industrialisation of the country by foreign firms will enhance job opportunities and economic advantages for the local population. He was speaking with a delegation of Chinese investors and business leaders led by China’s ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong.
He stated that Pakistan can learn a lot from Chinese businesses, particularly in fields of agriculture, fisheries, vegetables and fruits, high-yielding livestock, and information technology. The Chinese representatives lauded the Pakistan government’s economic and business-friendly policies and expressed an interest in expanding the scope of investment in the country.

The meeting was attended by China’s ambassador Nong Rong, federal ministers Hammad Azhar, Shaukat Tareen, and Asad Umer, Commerce Advisor Abdul Razak Dawood, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Khalid Mansoor, and other high-ranking officials.
