Lahore: Board of Investment (BoI) Chairman Atif Bokhari on Sunday stated that the government was keen on facilitating local and international investors interested availing opportunities in Faisalabad’s Allama Iqbal Industrial City, a news source reported.

During a meeting with Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development and Management Company (FIEDMC) Chairman Mian Kashif Ashfaq, he said that the government wanted to bring investment to the prioritised SEZ of Allama Iqbal Industrial City.
Bokhari also revealed that they were currently working on launching a one-window operation facility of the FIEDMC where all federal and provincial departments would share a presence. He added that the BoI and the FIEDMC would jointly conduct roadshows across the world in order to attract foreign investment. In this regard, he said that the government was working on improving all nine indicators of ease-of-doing business in Pakistan.

Moreover, the BoI chairman extended his appreciation to his FIEDMC counterpart for his efforts at expediting the development of the Allama Iqbal Industrial City SEZ.
