Islamabad: The government has authorised the disbursement funds worth PKR 129 billion for Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) projects for the fourth quarter (April-June), a news source reported on April 17. As per the details, the disbursed amount includes PKR 27 billion for Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Ex-FATA, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The Ministry of Planning and Development revealed that Water and Resource Division and Higher Education Commission (HEC) have been given top priority during fund allocation.
The news source mentioned that PKR 4 billion has been released for the Ministry of Housing and Works, PKR 5 billion for the Power Division and PKR 8 billion for the Ministry of Railways. The funds of PKR 30 billion have been released to the Ministry of Water Resources for speeding up the projects like Diamer-Basha Dam, Nai Gaj Dam, Kachhi Canal, and Mohmand Dam.

An amount of PKR 22 billion has been released to the Ministry of Communications to expedite work pace on dualization and improvement of the old Bannu Road, and Khuzdar-Kuchlak Road.
