In an interview, Gul explained that the government would not only disallow constructions in national parks but demolish any such existing infrastructure as well. To this effect, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan had issued orders on taking action against those encroaching state-owned land in the capital city. He directed the authorities concerned to take action against owners of universities on state land, a golf club in Margalla Hills, and a restaurant in Daman-e-Koh.
Gul highlighted that businesses in national parks were earning millions but not spending on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) for the preservation and restoration of these areas. She added that these businesses conducted illegal expansions.
