Islamabad: The federal government, on Thursday, announced that it will complete Ehsaas Survey programme before June next year in order to collect the socioeconomic data of citizens around the country — a news source reported.

The survey will also help with identification of the households and deserving individuals for Ehsaas iniatives. These will include Ehsaas Kafaalat beneficiaries and households of deserving individuals including disabled individuals, widows, orphans, and labourers.
The survey had been launched under Ehsaas Survey Model in August to determine the number of households around the country that need social safety support.
The survey has already been completed in district Karak and Malakand Division of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In Punjab, the survey in Sialkot was launched on Thursday.

The government is collecting the data through a new approach where the teachers are collecting data within their designated enumeration areas. The federal government is also collaborating with the provincial governments and the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) for collection of this data.
