Hyderabad: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar on Saturday revealed the government’s decision to announce a development package for Hyderabad on a timely basis, a news source reported.

He expressed his views on the matter during a meeting with a delegation of the Hyderabad SITE Association of Trade and Industry (HSATI); led by its chairman Pervez Faheem Noorwala. Other members included HSATI Senior Vice Chairman Mohammad Shahid Soomro, vice chairman Mehmood Ahmed and former chairmen Aslam Bawani, Saman Mal, Amir Shahab and Shahid Qaimkhani.
Talking to the delegation, the minister emphasized the need for industrial development to tackle the ongoing economic challenges; further stating that the government would extend its cooperation for the development of the second largest industrial hub of Sindh.

He said that industrial development would boost revenue and address rising unemployment levels. He added that the executive was committed to work for the development of the industrial sector and to address the concerns of its stakeholders.
