Karachi: Sindh Governor Imran Ismail has stated that the federal cabinet will approve an alternate scheme for the rehabilitation of Pakistan Quarters’ residents, news sources reported.

During a meeting with member provincial assembly Jamal Siddiqui, the governor also said that the federal government has released PKR 413 million for the lease of the Pakistan Quarters.
Moreover, he went on to say that the rehabilitation will be done safely and securely and that the people would be given a better alternative. Governor Ismail said that the government is fully aware of the situation of the people and will ensure the process takes place at a quick pace.

In another development, The Sindh government has announced the release of the PKR 1.62 billion “mega scheme for Karachi”. The finds will be utilised for the betterment of existing infrastructure and road rehabilitation.
