Lahore: The federal government has approved a business plan under which the Governor House will host corporate events as well as guided tours inside its premises, a news source reported.
A committee headed by Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood recently approved the business plan. Previously, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan had tasked the committee with preparing proposals for this purpose.

The authorities concerned have decided to preserve Governor House’s main building as a heritage site. Moreover, the government will provide guided tours for students and the general public.
Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar said that all stakeholders had provided suggestions for the business plan. He remarked that historical buildings all over the world were open to the public.

The governor had reportedly discussed the business plan with the prime minister on March 9. He later sent recommendations to the PM Office for attaining a final approval.
