‘It is an honour to stay in such a magnificent building and the government does not want to limit this honour to its dignitaries only,’ stated the chief minister. He added that transforming government buildings into rest houses and tourism resorts was part of the current government’s agenda to end VIP culture, and simultaneously promote tourism.
The CM stated that the government wanted to employ all available resources for developing the tourism sector. To facilitate this measure, it recently inaugurated more than 110 rest houses across the province. Several government buildings of historic significance were also converted into tourist spots; in addition to the development of tourism spots in far-flung areas.
