Lahore: The government has started its work to acquire 650 acres of land under Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act 1894 to build a theme park worth PKR 32 billion in Lahore, Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Director General Shakeel Ahmed told reporters.
According to a news source, the district collector will assess the value of the properties to be acquired for the project after preliminary investigation has been completed.
Ahmed also said that the government plans to acquire land at its earliest and has chosen the area where most of the land is state owned in order to avoid litigation issues.
The project has been assigned to Golden Bean, a Chinese company, which will complete the project within two years. The development work on the project will be started after all legal obligations have been fulfilled.
