The proposed scheme includes two bridges, two flyovers, and a 30km long dual carriageway from the GT Road bypass. One flyover will be constructed from the GT Road bypass connecting it to the old GT Road. Then a wide, dual carriageway would be constructed from Shadiwal Town.
Moreover, the construction of two bridges over the Bhimbher storm water channel and the Upper Jhelum Canal has been planned. The second flyover will be constructed over the Gujrat-Sargodha Road, connecting it with the dual carriageway.
The flyovers are expected to be modelled on the Azadi Flyover in Lahore in a bid to beautify the entrance of the Gujrat.
