Islamabad: The Government has reversed its decision to transfer the National Agricultural Research Centre (NARC) land to the Capital Development Authority (CDA), according to a news source. The Prime Minister was briefed by the National Food Security and Pakistan Agricultural Research Council on the matter, after which he issued the order to cancel the lease contract.
Reportedly, the CDA was looking to convert NARC’s 1,400 acres of land into a housing society. Among the NARC and the CDA, issues on the lease of land existed from the last two years. To inquire further about the matter, the Prime Minister has ordered the departments concerned to present complete details.
