Islamabad: The United States Department of Agriculture and the Agency of International Development have warned the Pakistan government about its plan to relocate National Agricultural Research Centre (NARC), currently located in the Federal Capital.
According to a news source, the issue of NARC’s relocation was highlighted during US-assisted research projects in Pakistan.
The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has proposed to develop a housing society on 1,250 acres of NARC’s land. The NARC administration and many other organisations have opposed the idea of the research centre’s demolition and relocation.
