During the LDA governing body meeting held on Friday, Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar issued instructions to the officials concerned to make necessary amendments in the LDA Act 1975 in order to revert the jurisdiction.
The meeting was briefed by LDA Director General on the agenda items. In 2013, the authority’s jurisdiction was extended to include the districts of Kasur, Nankana Sahib and Sheikhupura. With the said expansion, the authority took control of the housing schemes in the newly included districts. However, the Tehsil Municipal Administrations (TMAs) of the remaining three districts retained the buildings control.
